Forest City

Forest City

Before I talk about Forest City, let me say I've known this guy Wes Woods aka WSWDS on twitter and IG for a long time. We've worked together on more events than I can remember. Wes has always been a guy who could see the big picture. So when he gave me a call about Forest City I knew without a doubt that it was something I wanted to be apart of.

"Forest City was created to be a destination, and a mindset. A place where you can find quality music, links to great events, clothing and above all; be yourself."

Our first #PeopleOutPartying event will be Feb 3rd. I can't wait!

Talking about practice

Talking about practice

I love being a DJ but I'm also competitive I want to be the best. Not better than the next man just better than I was yesterday lol if that makes any sense at all. My guy Royel Urban came to the lab last night to go over his set for a show we're doing this weekend. Then I played a few beats I've been working on and got a little scratch session in while we were talking about work flow.

The funk

I've been in search of the funkiest tracks I could find. I've been stuck on a few right now.

Stay ridin...

I'm in the whip with my bro WSWDS headed to Buffalo on the random mission to catch this Conway show. I have to admit I'm not hip really but I'm always down to see something new. I've been on the road a couple times this year and I always enjoy it. one of my favorite trips this year had to be back in the spring when I went to Cincinnati for the regional DMC competition. The DMC is the world's largest most reputable DJ competition. The environment and energy was crazy. I can't wait for next year I've been working on my routines all year.

2 Dope Boyz and Vice Souletric

My guy Vice Souletric just dropped a new video from his project "Vice for President 2" 2dopeboyz.Com featured the video on there site and I made a little cameo lol.

After vibing with his brother-in-arms G.Huff and the venerable Pete Rock on "Bills," Lorain, Ohio emcee Vice Souletric throws it back to the good old days of the 90s, for those of us who are feeling a bit nostalgic, and for the rest of us still stuck in the 90s.

"90's Sumthin," which can be heard on Vice's Vice For President 2 evokes the production of greats like DJ Premier and the aforementioned Pete Rock, bringing with it a strong sense of positivity that will make you want to break out the grill and start an impromptu backyard BBQ.

On the new song, Vice says, "The 90s will always be the Golden Era of Hip Hop for several reasons. I wanted to recreate a 90s style video by incorporating the barbecue scene a la, "Nuthin' But a G Thang" and "Summertime. I really think people still want to hear this kind of music, and it fills a void that is found in today's music."

Welcome
